drivingDirection From Stanley, Idaho, take State Highway 75 south approximately 4 miles. Go west onto Forest Road 214. Turn left at Glacier View Campground entrance sign.
facilitiesDescription The campground offers several family sites, many with views of the lake and rugged Mount Heyburn. Flush toilets and drinking water are provided. Roads and parking spurs throughout the site are paved. Younger visitors love the campground's two playgrounds. Sandy Beach Boat Ramp is less than a mile away and an RV dump station is just over a mile away.

For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org. Stay limit of 10 days is strictly enforced Sites are first-come, first-served prior to and after the reservation season as weather permits. Please read the Idaho Off-Road Vehicle Safety Message if you're bringing a side by side or quad. Reservation must be made a minimum of 4 days in advance. Please bring your reservation confirmation paperwork with you for check-in. Reservations are non-transferable. The site cannot be unoccupied more than 24 hours or it will be forfeited. No refunds for bad weather. Discount passes are only excepted on single family sites. Double sites and group sites are not discounted for any reason. Maximum occupancy for a single site is 8 people and 2 vehicles. Maximum occupancy for a double site is 16 people and 4 vehicles. All vehicles must fit on the parking spur or be parked in overflow parking at a cost of $6.00 per night. Your camp fee includes the first vehicle only in a single site and the first 2 vehicles in a double site. All other vehicles will be charged 50% of the posted camp fee at the time of check-in. Additional vehicle charges are collected at the campground.
nearbyAttrctionDescription The Sawtooth National Recreation Area offers a myriad of excellent hiking and biking opportunities; an estimated 750 miles of trails crisscross the valley and surrounding mountains. Alpine Way, Fishhook Creek, Redfish Lake Creek and Bench Lakes Trails all offer trailheads in the immediate area. The Idaho Centennial Trail passes nearby. The Salmon River offers excellent fishing for rainbow trout, Westslope cutthroat trout and occasional hybrid cutbows and bull trout. Popular area events include an Arts and Crafts Fair in July, and Wagon Days, Salmon Festival, Quilt Fair, and Fireman's Ball in September.

recreationDescription Glacier View is in the heart of the beautiful Sawtooth National Recreation Area, where outdoor activities abound. Redfish Lake offers excellent boating, water skiing, canoeing, kayaking and fishing for rainbow trout and Kokanee salmon. Little Redfish Lake is just down the road, offering additional fishing and canoeing. The Redfish Lake Visitor Center is within 1/4-mile, offering interpretive activities, evening programs and wildlife, geology and historical exhibits.
